Plastolux, another blog, has a nice restoration. It’s a bit of a shame that the upholstery edging got tossed as that’s actually somewhat tough to come across and the aftermarket solutions aren’t nearly as nice.
The powder coated bases are really nice and I’m a big fan of the black/white scheme. My biggest gripe is the open holes that the upholstered shells have. I also just think the upholstering is quite nice.
However, the upholstery is a whole other degree of difficultly (one which I’m going through now).
The goof off is a nice touch to remove the adhesive. I’ll be trying that next.

“Up5″ was designed by architect Gaetano Pesce to resemble a female figure tied to a ball, “symbolizing the shackles that keep women subjugated.” Now that’s what we like to see in interior decor—furniture that makes more than an aesthetic statement!
